Naadam was founded in 2013 by two college friends, Matthew Scanlan and Diederik Rijsemus.  They traveled to the remote part of the Mongolian Gobi desert and saw firsthand how traditional cashmere traders were. By doing everything themselves they have been able to make premium quality clothes for a great price point. Before anything they check their annual social and environmental impact report to ensure that they are contributing to making the world a better place. They continue their mission in making pieces that will last a lifetime that well becomes trouble, personal and comfortable. They work directly with the goat herders, and are able to pay them more while you pay less for the world's best cashmere. They continue to give back to nonprofit organizations like the Gobi revival fund to help set up clean water sources, a livestock insurance program and a park for local communities to gather. All of their materials come from renewable and recycled sources. They use finer and longer cashmere fibers that in the long run create a better and more sustainable garment. They continue to provide the goats that they use food that they need in order to ensure they are in good health and good care. These goats provide them the softest cashmere that gets softer as you wear it. The quality of their garments are luxurious, durable, and comfortable. Each piece you buy from them will become your go to closet choice.
