Who started out as a student from FIT Linda Bretti has used her experience in the industry to form her own brand and business. As a young adult Linda was exposed to the industry and observed the designs of Calvin Klein, Anne Klein, and worked closely with Donatella Girambili.  Linda Richards, her company,  designs fur and fur-trimmed outerwear and accessories for around 2,500 national retailers like Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor. She also creates and sells internationally to countries like Japan, Egypt, Mexico, Israel, Canada, Argentina, Bahrain, and Germany. After conquering NYC with her fashion label she was feeling bored and burned out and therefore moved her business to Westchester. Even though Bretti was a success and was a Westchester native she was still nervous about moving to the suburbs, and wondered if she could be successful in Westchester as well. However, if you ask her today in her 6,000sq foot design studio and headquarters in Port Chester, moving to Westchester was, as she recalls, her “best decision”. She now has over 3,500 square feet of warehouse space that she can sit in with her team and discuss and map out their next steps which is something that is rare to small NYC studios. With her new space she is able to really have a space to open her mind to design and produce even better products than before. After her move to Port Chester she had an impressive rise in business. Bretti says that having lots of warehouse space full of luxurious fur items so close to her office has given her ability to offer better customer service. Bretti recalls that being closer to your merchandise brings you even closer to your customer. Not only had Linda found success in business in Westchester, but also in employees. She has had no issue finding a talented employee pool in Westchester and surrounding areas. Focused on customer satisfaction and quality products, Linda Richards is able to give you just what you need and what you’re looking for.
