Luisa Positano

In the post-war era, Luisa's journey into the realm of craftsmanship commenced under the guidance of the nuns of Luigi Rossi from Positano. These nuns played a pivotal role in introducing young women to the world of work, imparting the intricate art of sewing and "tombolo" – a form of Italian lace-making.

Growing up amidst the artistic milieu of post-war Positano, Luisa's formative years were shaped by the vibrant tapestry of her surroundings. The rich cultural heritage of the region became the backdrop against which her passion for craftsmanship was kindled.

Luisa embarked on her career alongside Irene Kowaliska, a celebrated artist and painter from Warsaw. Irene, known for her distinctive prints on Vietri ceramics, had moved to Positano after completing her studies in pictorial art in Berlin. Together, they delved into the world of fashion, introducing innovative prints that would soon capture the attention of the fashion elite.
